weekend by the numbers.

30 Jan

FIRSTLY I want to thank ALL of you for your incredibly sweet and helpful comments on my last post… Each and every one of you made my day, and when I’m slightly less of a zombie I will go and reply to all of you! :)

And secondly, I want to apologize for this post, because it’s not going to be as interesting as I’d like, nor does it involve a recipe (this weekend has been… hectic, to say the least).

————————————————————————————————————

I love numbers. I was nearly a math minor (until I  fell in love with biology, that is…). In honor of this, let’s look at my weekend by the numbers…

1 new job… delivering food from our late-night dining place on campus to people in dorms. Yes, this presents a slight moral quandary as the food is entirely fried and unhealthy, and not something I’d eat myself, but…

10 dollars per hour… Kind of outweighs the morality in my case. Particularly since this enables me to shop at Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s. Nomnomnom.

3 – number of wheels our delivery bikes have. Yes, I get paid to ride a tricycle. Be jealous.

5 – age I am mentally…

10 – number of hours I’ve spent in the past two days running back and forth across campus late at night to deliver food to drunk, lazy people. In the pouring rain.

2 – number of dollars I earned as a tip from one kind boy who saw my bedraggled appearance and took pity on me for having to run through the rain. I wish I could say he tipped me because he thought I was cute, but I was so not cute this weekend.

132 – number of dolla-dolla-bills I will hopefully have made this weekend.

33 – number of Armenian Joe’s Eggplant Wraps I could buy with this money.

1.10 – number of dollars I paid for these fabulous boxers.

12 – number of hours I slept today.

1 – very tired Nicole!

Tell me about your weekend!

Or tell me about a less-than-ideal job you had in college ;)

Those boxers!! Oh my geeze, I’m still laughing. Those. are. awesome.
Sounds like you had abusy weekend! Congrats on the job, though. Delivering food on a tricycle is pretty sick. (…maybe not so much when it’s raining, though…)
